Jefferson County Office of the West Virginia University Cooperative Extension Service to offer Adult Garden Education Classes in May

To promote self-reliance and healthier living we will hold a series of basic gardening classes for adult learners in Jefferson County. The classes will cover the basics of gardening, starting seeds, plant spacing, where to find information, disease resistance, and other basics. We will also host discussion about trendy topics like GMO’s, Hybrid seeds, Organic, Natural, and Local Foods.

Classes are free to the public. No reservation necessary. Classes will be held May 1 at the Extension office conference room from 6–7 pm, May 7 at the South Jefferson Public Library from 6–7 pm, and May 8 at the Bolivar—Harpers Ferry Public Library from 1:30–2:30 pm.
