Stepping Stones & Hypertufa! Our May 21 GEG meeting features two different ways to add personality and pizzazz to your plantings! These will be hands-on (if you wish) workshops on hypertufa pots and stepping stones. Hypertufa pots bring interest to house or garden plants. Stepping stones bring color, individuality, and excitement to walkways and garden beds.
PLEASE RSVP. Kathleen and Ellen need to assemble the necessary materials for us. Contact Kathy Dillon at firstname.lastname@example.org.
GEG member Ellen Plitt will be on hand to guide those who want to make a pot using the hypertufa method. Member and coordinator Kathy Dillon will demonstrate the creation of a stepping stone to add to your garden. Materials will be provided for those who wish to make their own. No need to choose, try both!
Bring a face mask (we will be working with Portland cement). Gloves will be provided. If you have a special broken piece of china that you’ve been hanging on to, bring it along. Stepping stones are created using broken china, flat marbles, bits of stained glass, and ceramic tile pieces to create your design. Kathy has an abundance of material as well.
DATE/TIME: Saturday, May 21, 9am – 11am. Potluck breakfast at 9am; creating soon after.
BRING: Face mask. Plants and seed to share plus lots of ideas and contact info to fill our 2022 GEG calendar. Breakfast items to share are always welcome! Beverages will be provided.
