Mushrooms — How to Grow Them Yourself with Mary Jane Drummond

This meeting is ON!

Mary Jane Drummond has been gardening most of her life. She started mushroom growing nine years ago. This is her hobby. It started when they cut a tree and found out it was oak and would be great for growing mushrooms. She will also talk about the benefits of eating mushrooms.

Note: This is our last event of the year! We’ll be under cover in Rita’s immaculate and spacious garage. Remember to bring a chair.

Breakfast begins at 9:00am followed by the program at 9:30am. Bring a chair and a breakfast food to share, and garden plants for exchange.

Directions: From North and South, take 81 and get off at exit 14, Dry Run Road. Travel till you get to Butler’s Farm Stand, that is Ridge Road, turn right and just up a hill look for Temptation Road. I will have a sign there on that day. Turn right and then left on Miranda Court. I will have a sign there also. My house is 267 Miranda Court, covered bridge mailbox and a bee on it. Park in my driveway or on the street.
From East and West, take Route 9 to Hedgesville High School, turn onto Ridge Road South. After you pass Federal Hill Development, slow down and look for Temptation Road, turn left on it and then left onto Miranda Court. My house is 3rd on the left, 267 Miranda Court. I have covered bridge mailbox and a bee on it. Park in my driveway or on the street.
